ABOUT THE ROLE
As a WordPress Developer, you will hold a crucial position in the development and upkeep of WordPress websites. You will provide support to multiple clients and engage in a variety of intriguing and challenging projects. Your role will entail effective communication with your project manager and collaboration with fellow team members to ensure adherence to set project schedules.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
The objective of the role is to develop and maintain WordPress-based websites and applications to meet the needs and specifications of clients or the organization. This role aims to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and high-performance websites while ensuring they are responsive, secure, and optimized for various devices. WordPress Developers also collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts, and stay updated on industry trends to deliver successful web projects on time. Ultimately, the objective is to leverage expertise in WordPress and web development to contribute to the creation of effective and functional online platforms.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Communication and cooperation with other team members for managing and implementing tasks
- Ensure the websites are user-friendly & responsive
- Optimize websites forsearch engines (SEO) and ensure they meet accessibility standards
- Optimize web performance for speed and usability
- Content Management
- Maintenance and support of existing websites
- Troubleshoot technical problems
- Translate design mockups into functional web interfaces
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP (hooks,filters etc), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and jQuery
- Problem-solving & communication skills
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and web applications
- Web development for e-commerce platforms and websites, primarily using WordPress and WooCommerce
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector
- Proficient in identifying and troubleshooting website issues
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into functional websites
- Thorough understanding of PHP back-end development
- Capable of developing custom themes and plugins
- Knowledge of Server Panel
- Basic familiarity with Figma or Adobe Xd
- Excellent written and oral language skills (Greek and English)

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (AEI/ATEI/IEK) in Computer Science or equivalent
- Basic Knowledge of onsite-SEO
- Knowledge of Wordpess builder Elementor, WPBakery
